Najib represent a choice between dishonesty and incompetence

Jho with Najib and family and the two directors of PetroSaudi Tarek Obaid and Prince Turki bin Sulaiman
More scams are certain to emerge,if Najib  Continue to rule Malaysia the problem is systemic. Rosmah;s greed that marks the recent storm of scams in Malaaysia
We need to distinguish between two kinds of greed. One can simply be called corporate greed. Gordon Gekko, the flawed hero of Oliver Stone’s film, Wall Street, provided its most flamboyant exposition: “Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right. Greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures, the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all its forms … has marked the upward surge of mankind and greed, you mark my words, will… save that … malfunctioning corporation called the USA.”

Whether or not greed can save the USA or Malaysia most mature market economies know how to deal with its excessive forms. They develop a regulatory structure, which concedes that profit-seeking is the foundation of market economics, but it also adds that the avaricious incarnations of greed will be punished.
Not telling the truth is not an option
Ku Li
Different information that are coming in from all angles, backed up by unconfirmed and questionable facts have confused the public, said Tengku Razaleighk, or better known as Ku Li.
He then called on those who may be in possession of relevant information, to come out and put the matter to rest.
“They should stand fast by their principles and take the moral high ground to assist in the resolution of the problem.
“Knowing the facts and the problem but not telling the truth is not an option.”
The Gua Musang Member of Parliament said that today, the most important thing is to stay focused on the immediate concerns of the people which are the economic and financial difficulties.

Najib represent a choice between dishonesty and incompetence Defending to die
Najib don’fear you the voter won’t care.

1MDB scam is not just about criminality but about wider societal rot

The failure of the criminal justice system to punish anyone over the years the involvement of political leaders and their family members in carrying out and gaining from the scam

Does money have morality? Can ‘bad’ money – money that has been obtained by questionable means – be put to good use, so as to benefit the community as a whole?Transfers of around $700 million into what are described as Mr. Najib’s personal bank accounts. Sarawak Report also reported cash deposits of two million ringgit, or around $525,000, into the account of Rosmah Mansor, Mr. Najib’s wife,.
has his hands full in trying to deal with dissent in his government following the dubious accounting and shady friendships are almost seen as natural behaviour for Najib and  Rosmah they don’t even see it as a crime. Najib  treat it at par with, say, eating four plates of dessert — a bit greedy, but understandable But such a value system does not apply when we see shady business, state coffers being looted or politicians placing self-interest over the country. Even power abuse is something we only talk about in public. Deep down, we are complicit

.

Najib has never been before a judge for all the scandals that have erupted under his charge as either a minister in other portfolios, and as prime minister and finance minister since March 2009. His name continues to be linked to the cold-blooded murder of 28-year-old Altantunya Shaariibuu, the Mongolian model and translator in the scandalous Scorpene submarines deal when Najib was defense minister.

King Najib’s court, is a fertile breeding ground for sycophants, flunkeys and courtiers, and ‘Knights in armour’, who cut off the King from ground reality. And ironically the very absence of all that glory had brought him to power, when he could keep his eyes and years rooted to the ground and helped him to lose the common touch’.
Make no mistake,  “problem” has not, in any way, been solved. It’s been postponed, this time forcing through the Rosmah's agenda. Keep your notes on the case, it will come up, later I hope, than sooner, but it has not gone away.. We want political leaders to not abuse power,
king Najib agreed. He appointed his pet slaves  to investigate the matter.

The Special Task Force reports to the government. Its senior officers’ appointments, promotions, transfers and post-retirement career options are in the hands of politicians. This same Special Task Force  is asked to investigate the government when scams emerge. It is like asking a maid to probe her master. No surprise, nothing much comes out of it. Are we not a nation of idiots then to accept this system? The current  investigations, where a The current  investigations concerning 1MDB and Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak., where a cornered IGP had to admit it had the findings report edited from government before submitting it in court, is a blatant example of a system gone horribly, horribly wrong. How can you expect the government to have accountability, when they can subvert investigations on them? What use is the Special Task Force if accused politicians are able to influence it?
The pet slaves felt the king had done nothing wrong. The case was closed. Life went back to normal. The above story isn’t funny. It is downright ridiculous. Even a six-year-old will tell you it makes no sense. And yet this is the Malaysian system of investigation and justice. Replace the king and the slave with the government. without values cannot even survive or function, let alone progress.
.Ruling politicians are accorded the same treatment by Malaysia’s ‘laws’, and at a much higher level: they are effectively untouchable. Like all former Inspector-Generals of Police, the current IGP is not a public servant but a slave of Najib, whom he and his police force, debauchedly corrupt, protect, come hell or high water. It makes lighter work for Malaysia’s judges.

The need for changing this is obvious, more so now. But how do we make this happen? And will the powerful political class ever accept an independent Special Task Force ?
Why isn’t corruption going away? The question baffles the educated middle classes. Why is a reasonable, universal and noble demand for an honest society so difficult to achieve in a democracy?
Frustrated, the educated middle class comes up with elitist theories like “90% of  are voters stupid” or “most voters are dumb”. at one level everybody wants to remove corruption. Every Indian would like a clean society. However, not every Indian feels it is the number one priority. For a lot of Indians, corruption doesn`t determine their voting behaviour. Removing corruption is important to them. However, it is not as important as, say, one or more of these three motives: a) asserting themselves and their identity, b) feeling safe in society, c) obtaining some instant gratification from politicians at voting time.
. For this, they send agents to power, who might loot the nation, but protect them and even share the booty through the occasional handout.
Clever politicians understand this. They work to deliver on these promises and in return, are allowed to be corrupt by the voters. . Many voters would rather have ‘bird-in-hand freebies’ at election time (as later on the politician will forget them, a completely rational view)Thus, a corrupt party can enjoy power as long as it keeps the oppressed classes happy, and can play Robin Hood to them. Every party knows this, thus every party is corrupt to varying degrees.
It’s time to stop blaming just our politicians for corruption and look within
The simple, bitter truth is that the electorate just doesn’t care much about financial impropriety. Sure, we bicker, moan and fuss about politicians looting us. However, it is not that high up in the hierarchy of wrongs a politician could commit. A moderate amount of corruption is almost expected and accepted. It is only when graft is done in an obvious, large-scale and arrogant manner that Indians get somewhat upset — and that too for a short period of time. “Do it, but don’t be so blatant and rub it in our faces,” is what we seem to be telling them.
Dr Mahathir Mohamad has warned that those who cover-up and conceal evidence of a crime are aiding the criminal.

"They would be aiding and abetting the criminal. They too should be charged, tried and sentenced.
The problem with such irrational acts of self-proclaimed rationalists is that you can’t make out if they are born out of fear or foolhardiness. But once you come to understand that foolhardiness is often the flip side of fear,
"Keeping evidence that you have gathered so as to hand over only when the case is proven will not free you from that charge of abetting," Mahathir said in his blog post.
UMNO  activated their war rooms. It is here Najib's Machiavellians plot his revolution throughmoney, white lies and grey areas. Their foot soldiers would soon fan out, wielding such weapons of mass deception as wads of currency, glib talk  RM2.6 billion in 1MDB's funds were deposited into Najib's private bank accounts.

Meanwhile, Mahathir questioned those who "refuse to blow (the whistle)."

"What about those who hide the misdeeds which they know. What about the cover-uppers.

"The law says those who cover-up, hide evidence of crime would be considered as accessory to the crime," he said.

Admitting there is risk in whistle-blowing, Mahathir said there is also risk in covering-up, aiding and abetting. Tony Pua call upon banks that loaned to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) to verify the company's audited financial statements as the latter had claimed to found discrepancies on it.
Tony, who is also a member of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) said debt-laden-1MDB has tampered its audited March 2014 financial statements that was given to a consortium of local banks in relation to a RM4.03 billion loan it took.
He alleged the audited accounts obtained from the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) is different with the one that the banks received.
A paragraph from SSM statement reads:
"As of the date of this report, the amounts received from the redemption of investments of RM4.03 billion in the SPC above have been substantially utilised for the purpose of debt interest payment, working capital and payments to Aabar as refundable deposits pursuant to a Settlement Agreement to extinguish the Options Agreement."
But Tony said the copy of statement given to the banks had been materially tampered where the word "utilised" has been changed to "set aside".
Tony added he has a strong reason to believe that the troubled state investment arm had doctored its statement to conceal its inability to repay the loan.
"By changing the word 'utilise' to 'set aside', 1MDB has transformed entirely the meaning of the paragraph.
"The amendments would provide a false assurance to the lenders that 1MDB has already 'set aside' nearly RM4.03 billion to pay the banks when the interest and loans become due
"I call upon all lenders to 1MDB to peruse through the financial statements with a fine tooth-comb to discover all the discrepancies between the documents," Tony said.
Based on publicly available information, 1MDB still owes RM3.5 billion to a consortium of 4 local banks - Maybank, RHB, Alliance and HwangDBS Bank.
Tampering a financial statement is a serious offence under the Penal Code and wrongdoers shall be punished with imprisonment for more than seven years, or fine, or both

Najib started digging UMNO’s 2018 electoral grave when he told his partymen a sworn affidavit  to show how millions of ringgit from the prime minister's personal bank accounts went to Barisan Nasional (BN) parties for use in the 2013 general election this method of political funding a "system of greasing" ruling coalition partners and election machinery that BN parties were each allocated an average of RM30 million to RM50 million, with funds also channelled to more than a dozen BN-friendly parties and NGOs, each getting between RM1 million and RM8 million
Creating amore ethical society. But a sense of being part of a single community whose well-being depends on the actions of every individual member, the bedrock of an ethical society, cannot evolve in a divided, hierarchical society where politics accentuates and manipulates divisions. The solution lies in better politics.
