To understand her contribution to Najib's fall
The ground beneath her feet
The director-general of LHDN (Inland Revenue Board) is Mohd Shukor Mahfar said Najib need to pay tax on RM2.6bTotal tax and penalty is- RM980,200,000. since Najib did not declare this income,
People are asking, is UMNO on an inexorable path of self-destruction? Why is it frittering away its fount of goodwill, even 81-year Musa said he could no longer sit quietly as the issue gripped the nation More and more are distancing themselves from the Prime Minister whose days are numberedThe ultimate untold story, The most corrupted man who ever lived is more than a tale about the richest and most influential poilitician of all time. It is a story about palace intrigue, knights in battle, family tragedy and triumph, and a violent clash between everybody else. To understand our financial system and how we got it, it pays to understand Najib and Rosmah
DAP today asked if Datuk Seri Najib Razak is afraid of Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan, following the travel ban on the former Umno leader as he was about to depart to meet US federal law enforcers over troubled 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang was also mystified as to why Khairuddin, who is another of Najib's critics, was remanded for six days, which Lim described as excessive and punitive.
"Furthermore, why was Khairuddin investigated under Section 124(C) of the Penal Code relating to 'activities detrimental to parliamentary democracy', when Parliament was assured that this new provision was meant only to deal with terrorists or those who want to overthrow the government by violent or unconstitutional means?" he asked in a statement today.
Yesterday, a magistrate allowed police to hold Khairuddin in custody until Thursday. He is being investigated under Section 124 of the Penal Code for activities detrimental to parliamentary democracy, his counsel Matthias Chang said.
Khairuddin's arrest on Friday made international news, with The New York Times reporting yesterday that he was to meet agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Monday.
He was supposed to leave for the United States on Friday morning together with Chang but both were stopped from leaving the country by immigration officials at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
Lim said with or without Khairuddin's information, the FBI had started its probe into debt-laden 1MDB, which has incurred RM42 billions in debt in six years of operations and is currently under various probes for alleged financial irregularities.
"Another country has joined the queue to initiate investigations over Malaysia’s 1MDB and money laundering offences, joining countries like Singapore, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Hong Kong.
"Is Malaysia becoming an international rogue state?" Lim asked.
The Gelang Patah MP also said it was "anathema" to think of the Malaysian prime minister being treated like war criminals such as Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir, in reference to former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's remarks that Najib might be arrested by Interpol if foreign countries investigate the prime minister for alleged money laundering,
He said Malaysia was being pounded daily by a surfeit of lack of integrity issues and problems, which he claimed was hurtling the country down the slippery slope of a failed state.
"What has Malaysia been reduced to 58 years after Merdeka and 52 years after Malaysia?" he asked.
An indelible stain on Malaysia's legal systems
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) this morning reported the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) having initiated a probe into allegations of money laundering related to the debt ridden 1MDB.

With a number of probes into money laundering related to the scandal-ridden 1MDB, the prime minister potentially faces arrest abroad, "If he leaves the country, he may be arrested," said the long-serving former PM
He said Najib may be able to evade investigation into the scandals surrounding 1MDB that are being investigated overseas, but not abroad.

"Laws abroad are now different from before. If a crime takes place here, the laws here apply.
"But if (the crime) involves other countries, the other countries have the power (to take action)," he said.
"Right now, in Switzerland, UK, US ...(there is already a money laundering probe). They have a right to issue a summons for the Interpol to arrest him (if cause is established).
when AG Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali said in any culpable manner in need he is admiting that Najib is implicated but not physically involved in the murder of Mongolian Altantuya Shaaribuu
Guilty conscience?
The Attorney-General’s Chambers today said there is no basis to recent claims linking Datuk Seri Najib Razak to the murder of Mongolian Altantuya Shaaribuu, stressing that the prime minister was never linked “in any culpable manner” to the case over the course of the trial.
AG Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali added that the murder trial of former police commandos Sirul Azhar Umar and Azilah Hadri went through an exhaustive legal process, with “every piece of evidence and testimonies of witnesses” subjected to “curial scrutiny” by both the Court of Appeal and Federal Court.
“The evidence led (sic) did not at all show that the prime minister played any role in the case,” Mohamed Apandi said in a statement.
WHAT IS HAPPENING? NO APPEAL FOR A MURDER CASE AND YET IN RAJA PETRA’S HABEAS CORPUS CASE, THE APPEAL IS MADE VERY QUICKLY. THE MALAYSIAN PUBLIC HAS THE RIGHT TO KNOW THE REASONS FOR THIS APPARENT DISCRIMINATION. MAYBE, RAZAK BAGINDA IS A CLOSE ASSOCIATE OF THE DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER, NAJIB TUN RAZAK, WHEREAS RAJA PETRA IS NAJIB’S STRONGEST CRITIC. IF NOT, WHAT ELSE? PLEASE, DEPUTY PUBLIC PROSECUTOR TUN MAJID TUN HAMZAH, CAN YOU EXPLAIN?
NO APPEAL AGAINST ABDUL RAZAK’S ACQUITTAL |
THE CLOCK HAS RUN DOWN ON A POSSIBLE APPEAL AGAINST THE ACQUITTAL OF POLITICAL ANALYST ABDUL RAZAK BAGINDA, WHO HAD BEEN CHARGED WITH ABETTING IN THE MURDER OF MONGOLIAN NATIONAL ALTANTUYA SHAARIIBUU.
THE PROSECUTION HAD 14 DAYS TO FILE AN APPEAL AFTER SHAH ALAM HIGH COURT JUDGE MOHD ZAKI MD YASIN DELIVERED HIS RULING ON OCTOBER 31.
CHECKS WITH THE COURT REGISTRY AT 5PM TODAY SHOWED THAT NO APPEAL HAS BEEN FILED.
DEPUTY PUBLIC PROSECUTOR TUN MAJID TUN HAMZAH(RIGHT) SAID THE COURT HAD MADE A FINDING OF FACT AND HE CONFIRMED THAT THE PROSECUTION WOULD NOT FILE AN APPEAL. “NO FURTHER COMMENTS AS THERE IS AN ON-GOING TRIAL,” HE SAID WHEN CONTACTED MOHD ZAKI IN HIS WRITTEN JUDGMENT HAD SAID: “ONCE THE ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF ABETMENT – BY INSTIGATION, BY CONSPIRACY AND BY AIDING – [...] ARE NOT PROVEN ON THE BASIS OF PRIMA FACIEEVIDENCE, ANY OTHER INFERENCES AND DOUBTS THAT MAY HAVE ARISEN MUST BE RESOLVED, AS IS TRITE, IN FAVOUR OF THE ACCUSED PERSON.
“IT IS NOT FOR THE COURT TO CALL FOR THE DEFENCE MERELY TO CLEAR OR CLARIFY SUCH DOUBTS [...] I FIND THERE IS NO PRIMA FACIECASE FOR HIM (ABDUL RAZAK, LEFT) TO ANSWER HIS CHARGE…”
HOWEVER, THE JUDGE ORDERED SPECIAL ACTION SQUAD POLICE OFFICERS AZILAH HADRI, 32, AND SIRUL AZHAR UMAR, 38, TO ENTER THEIR DEFENCE.
THEY ARE JOINTLY ACCUSED OF MURDERING ALTANTUYA, 28, AT A LOCATION BETWEEN LOT 12843 AND LOT 16735 IN MUKIM BUKIT RAJA, SELANGOR BETWEEN 10AM ON OCT 19, 2006 AND 1AM THE FOLLOWING DAY.
THEY HAVE ELECTED TO TESTIFY UNDER OATH WHEN THE HEARING RESUMES ON NOV 10. THEIR OTHER OPTIONS WERE EITHER TO GIVE A STATEMENT FROM THE DOCK OR TO REMAIN SILENT. |
can you see the prosecutor, defence lawyer and the judge working in unison against the interests of the victim’s family by blocking crucial evidence that could have incriminated the culprit?
The trial of Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri and Corporal Sirul Azhar Umar has been intricately connected to Najib Tun Razak,Azilah and Sirul served as bodyguards in an elite police unit supervised by Najib this case appeared more about suppressing evidence and protecting Najib than determining the guilt or innocence of the accused.
Neither Najib nor his chief of staff, Musa Safri, has been questioned nor summoned to testify despite the fact that Baginda, in a sworn statement in November 2006, said he had contacted Musa for help in dealing with Altantuya, his jilted lover who was demanding money. That statement raised suspicions that all sides in the court – prosecution, defense and judiciary – are struggling to keep the case under wraps.
Myriads of other questions remain over the trial. In Sirul's cautioned statement, which can be found here, the police constable said Azhar told him Najib's chief of staff, Musa Safri, had ordered them to pick up the young woman. Azhar first suggested going to the Hotel Malaya, where she and two friends were staying, to kill them all, but decided not to because of the presence of closed-circuit cameras. Neither of the two was ever asked in court about Musa's involvement in the matter, nor about their relationship to Najib.
WHAT DID NAJIB MEAN BY ‘TENTATIVE CHARGE BUT ALL IS NOT LOST’?
‘Abuse of power by Prime Minister’ that laid out a series of sms’es alleged to have passed between Najib and senior lawyer Shafee Abdullah in relation to Razak Baginda’s arrest and remand in the days before Baginda was charged.Najib was publicly asked to comment about these sms’es and he never denied the authenticity of the same.
Now, there’s one other exchange of sms’es, this time allegedly between Razak Baginda and Najib. I do not recall Najib himself having ever addressed or denied or admitted the correctness or otherwise of these sms’es directly, as he did with the series of sms’es
we referring to the 2 sms’es mentioned at paragraphs 51 and 52 of the first statutory declaration of private investigator Balasubramaniam. Let me reproduce below both paragraphs 51 and 52 of that first statutory declaration. On the day Abdul Razak Baginda was arrested, I was with him at his lawyers office at 6.30am. Abdul Razak Baginda informed us that he had sent Najib Razak an SMS the evening before as he refused to believe he was to be arrested, but had not received a response.Shortly thereafter, at about 7.30am, Abdul Razak Baginda received an SMS from Najib Razak and showed, this message to both myself and his lawyer. This message read as follows: “ I am seeing IGP at 11am today … matter will be solved … be cool”.
NOW NAJIB ADMIT THAT THE SMS WAS IN NEED SENT BY HIM BUT IS A PRIVATE MATTER.WHY WILL SOMEONE ENROUTE TO PUTRJAYA WILL WANT TO GET INVOLVE IN THIS EPISODE . HOW CAN THEY SAY THAT HE DID NOT ABUSE THE POWER?
WHY THE P.M HAS TO GO ALONG HIS WAY ?
an indelible stain on Malaysia's legal systems
can you see the prosecutor, defence lawyer and the judge working in unison against the interests of the victim’s family by blocking crucial evidence that could have incriminated the culprit?Arifin said as judges they could not defend themselves against such allegations and this was not fair to the judges. He said the instruction that judges should not forge close relations with politicians and businessmen was to avoid negative perception of the Judiciary.
“Some of the politicians and businessmen are involved in court cases. This instruction aims to prevent such things (biasness),” he said.Commenting on the statement by former Chief Justice Tun Zaki Azmi that the Prime Minister and members of the Cabinet had never given any instruction to the judiciary, Arifin said the statement was true.
Why did Judge Mohd Zaki dismissed to call Najib and Balasubramaniam as a witness in the trial.

AG Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali admitted the prime minister was never implicated “in any culpable manner”which means implicated not with the the murder
Judge Segara asked the right question: “Why him? Is he the person to ask for help? How is he going to admonish her? The applicant should have gone to the Inspector-General of Police or the OCPD for protection. Anyway, he has got his own security. What’s his motive other than to get rid of her? So that he could sleep soundly after she disappears?Judge Segara .said that the impression he got was that “ Razak had motive to get rid of” Altantuya.
Judge: Whatever for did Abdul Razak Baginda
give the address of the hotel to Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri Abdul Razak and Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri, one of the men charged with her murder, were in constant communication before Altantuya was killed. This incriminating statement is compounded by the fact that Azilah is a chief inspector attached to the Special Action Squad.
.
Judge Segara said he had killed before? The relationship had ended in 2005 and suddenly, she is back in the picture in 2006. You don’t call the authority but a crime was committed after that.
You have got here a person who claims that he had killed before and he can settle your problem.
